The Latest Ripeline News:
July 30: Are you loving this cool weather as much as we are? What a difference a few days… and a few degrees can make!

It’s looking like beautiful weather this weekend to pick blackberries, flowers, and the last of the blueberries. Picking conditions are fair for all of these – if you look, you’ll find them… but maybe don’t plan on going home with 20 pounds. The first of the primocane (fall crop) of red raspberries are also available as well as some golden raspberries for the motivated picker. There will be lots more of these in future weeks.

Sweet cherries are still available in our market but will also soon be done. The cherries this year have been wonderful and we thank our friends Bryan and Shannon in Lake Chelan for helping us get through a tough season.

At the stand, we have a good supply of yellow freestone peaches. Peach season is only expected to last another two weeks, so don’t delay… get them now. This weekend, we also have a limited supply of White Pearl - a sweet white peach. These are hard-to-come-by this year, so you might want to grab a few of something new.

Speaking of peaches, this Saturday from 10-2, we’ll be celebrating all things peachy by sampling some of our best selling peach flavored products including peach salsa, peach cider and peach jam. If you have ever wanted to “try before you buy,” this is your big chance.

Vegetables at the market this week include LOCAL green beans, slicing tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, red beets, colored peppers, candy onions, salad mix, Romaine lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, ...continued...

Dear Friends,

For 117 years our family farm has been producing fresh fruits and vegetables. Located on the historic Mason-Dixon line, our farm market offers Our market (13K) some of the best quality fruit you'll find anywhere in the country, as well as local produce, jams, jellies, flowers, and canned goods. The orchard is open for pick-your-own strawberries, raspberries, pumpkins, cherries, blueberries, and apples. Our website is updated weekly and is the best way to stay informed of the season.

As always, we hope you find your visit to Shaw Orchards to be an enjoyable one.  We are committed to bringing you the finest quality, home-grown produce season after season.  See you soon!
